From Displaced to Thriving — We Know the Road
Founder Lyn Smith built HandZ Up Nevada because she has lived it. After moving to Nevada and going through a divorce, she found herself displaced with three daughters and no support system. The resources she needed simply weren't there.
Through God's grace, the help of others, and sheer determination, Lyn got back on her feet. Then she made a decision: no other single mom in Las Vegas should have to figure this out alone.
Though officially founded in 2017, Lyn has been supporting women with resources since 2006. HandZ Up provides what she wished she'd had — housing and transportation help, job readiness training, financial education, and mental health therapy — all at no cost to the women we serve.
